The Jamestown Veterans Committee will host its annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 26, at 11 a.m. at Wrenn-Miller Park, across from the Jamestown Town Hall.

The ceremony will include a flag raising, wreath placement and the playing of taps. Billy Queen will be the keynote speaker and Mayor Lynn Montgomery will deliver a proclamation.

Commemorating the holiday actually begins on Saturday when Boy Scout Troop 17 and the Ragsdale High School JROTC will place flags on about 3,500 graves of veterans at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
